The Hydrofarm JSV4 – Excellent Lighting For Excellent Plants!

Without a good light source, seedlings can get leggy and not survive.  In hydroponic gardening, starting with healthy seedlings is crucial to your success.  Like the Hydrofarm JSV2 , the Hydrofarm JSV4 4-Foot Jump Start T5 Grow Light System is an excellent and well built florescent grow light for getting your seedlings off to a great start! The main difference between the two grow lights is that this one is larger and takes larger bulbs.   This grow light takes the 4 foot T5 bulb.

Assembly of this unit is very simple and takes about 5 minutes.   All you need is a pair of pliers and a philips head screw driver.

 

 

 

This is a UL listed premium quality fluorescent fixture.  Equipped with a wide reflector that provides maximum coverage of light to your seedlings. The  light bulb that is pre-installed is a 54 watt T5 6400k High output fluorescent bulb, which provides 15-20% more lumens than traditional grow lights. Since it is a low heat bulb, it can be placed very close to your plants without burning them.

 

 

This grow light is very efficient, using minimal electricity, while still having high output of the light spectrum that plants love.   This Hyrofarm JSV4 is perfect for starting two large trays of your hydroponic vegetables in rockwool cubes.

 

 

 

 

 

Adjusting the height of this grow light is very easy to do!  The light is equipped with a feather touch height adjustment mechanism raises or lowers fixture easily.   As your plants grow, the chain makes is simple to continually adjust the distance from the plants so that they get excellent light exposure.
